Steph Tolev is a stand up and sketch comic born and raised in Toronto. She has been performing all across the country both on her own and part of her sketch duo Ladystache for the last ten years. Steph won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand up last year and has been nominated with Ladystache for Best Sketch Troupe the last few years. Steph has been featured at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, taping her first TV Gala in 2015 and part of the “Home Grown” competition in 2014. Ladystache was one of the 42 acts at last years Just For Laughs 42 Festival in Toronto. She has also done the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, San Francisco Sketch Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, North By North East, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Sketch Festivals, Cleveland Comedy Festival and the She Devil Festival in New York. She has opened up for Eugene Mirman, Rob Delaney, Todd Glass, Kurt Braunohler, Gabriel Iglesias and was featured on Andy Kindlers “Alternative show” during JFL42 in Toronto. Ladystache won the Just For Laughs award at the Montreal Sketch fest in 2014 and released their first full length sketch comedy album “So Many Wolves” after winning the first ever XM radios sketch off competition. The album hit number one on itunes and had rave reviews from the Comedy Network. She also released her first stand up album “Hot N’ Hungry” that also hit number one and received rave reviews from Exlaim.ca. Steph has been featured on CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival and Much Music’s “Video On Trial”.
